2009
Tournament
Hey guys, I just wanted to
thank you on behalf of the “Hoyt Central Mechanical” team. We had a great time and look forward to next year.
It was a very well run event, the people were friendly and the other teams played hard and fair. It was good times had by
all. Thanks and we will see you next year.
Yours truly,
Troy Cardinal
Congratulations

Weekend:
Pond Hockey Tournament wonderful experience
LETTER —
For
the first time, I had the opportunity to attend the hockey games on the ice at French Fort Cove.
What an experience!
On all three days, I went to drink in the atmosphere. It really was a community event in which everyone gained. The weather
was perfect. Food and drink was for sale. Parents took their children with the young ones being transported by sled. People
met and talked. It was a social occasion as well as a sports one.
To me, it was incredible to see half ton trucks drive
on the ice where, in the summer, there is nothing but water. I think that it was good that most people had to walk some distance
to get there. The exercise benefited everyone.
The Rotary Club and volunteers who organized this and worked at
the event deserve credit. The future of New Brunswick was showcased by the young people on the ice; it was most reassuring.
